Issue with Google Chrome:

  • QuickTime plugin crash with Chrome version 32. If you can't see an embedded video then in the address bar enter:¬†chrome://plugins and disable QuickTime. Your videos will display but they will start playing as soon as the page loads.

The video you tried to view can be seen using QuickTime. In the unlikely event that you do not have QuickTime installed on your computer, please download and install here.

Most likely, your QuickTime plug-in for your browser is out of date or your QuickTime browser settings need to be adjusted.

Open QuickTime and select Edit-->Preferences-->QuickTime Preferences. Click the Browser Tab. In the MIME Types panel, you should have the following MIME Types enabled:

Audio:
AIFF audio
uLaw/AU audio
MIDI

MEPG:

MEPG audio
MPEG-4 media
MP3:
MP3 audio
Images:

After saving these settings, restart your browser. If the error persists, please contact your IT Dept.

(Note: Do not select "Flash Media")

If you are using a Mac with a newer operating system and version 6 (or newer of FireFox) and cannot view QuickTime content:
Open your Applications folder in Finder. Right Click on FireFox and select Get Info; Select Run in 32-Bit Mode. When you restart FireFox you will be able to view the embedded content.
